I am babalicious, a pseudonymous poet and wannabe wordsmith – a copy/paste coder and digital dreamscaper.
I delight in wacky word wonk, playing with phrases and wordings, composing contemporary haiku and writing short form poetry.
Utilizing letters, words and sentences, I paint a perspective of reality – using a nuanced palette of rhythm and rhyme, humour and homonyms.
I write to encourage reflection and stimulate critical thinking – whilst hopefully bringing a smirk or a smile to your face.
I predominantly employ .html and .css code to design and stylize my poems. One worders are made with pixel art .gif animation and, at times, .png images.
The artistic focus always centers on the words, with the poetic expression at the forefront. Graphic design is secondary, merely reflecting the essence of the poem – inspired by it – serving to enhance its meaning.
The wordings and poems are self published – usually as multiple editions – on Bitcoin. I favour Bitcoin Stamps, as they are truly uncensorable, immutable and all code is actually stored on-chain. Additionally, I’m passionately engaged and active in the Stamps subculture and various online communities.
My writings cover a range of subjects from nature, love, psychedelics and spirituality – to commenting on politics, blockchain and modern culture.
